Working closely with clinical partners and universities, AHSS provides high-quality teaching, inclusive learning environments and hands-on experiences through simulation and strong industry engagement.As the Psychology Lecturer for the Bachelor of Oral Health, you''ll teach key subjects in applied psychology, behaviour, communication and research, helping students understand the psychological and social factors that influence oral health. You will design engaging learning materials, support student progress, and bring a specialist psychological perspective to a multidisciplinary teaching teamensuring graduates are clinically capable, person-centred and emotionally intelligent practitioners.As a Lecturer, you will:Deliver high-quality teaching and assessment across DOH106 Psychology & Society and DOH209 Applied Psychology & Research, ensuring learning outcomes, assessment standards and CSU requirements are consistently met.Develop, review and maintain contemporary learning materials, including lectures, tutorials, online content, assessment tasks and supporting resources, to optimise student learning and align with approved subject designs.Monitor and support student progress, including attendance, assessment submission, academic counselling within scope, early identification of at-risk learners, and accurate record-keeping in accordance with Holmesglen and CSU policy.Contribute to curriculum quality and continuous improvement by participating in subject meetings, moderation, tutor calibration, curriculum review, and ongoing development of the psychology stream within the Bachelor of Oral Health.Collaborate effectively with CSU Subject Coordinators, Discipline Leads and teaching teams to plan and coordinate delivery, resolve subject-related issues, and ensure consistent, high-quality learning experiences across campuses.To be successful, you''ll have:Master''s in psychology or PhD in Psychology (working towards)Teaching Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching psychology, applied psychology, sociology or research methods at an undergraduate level, with the ability to deliver high-quality, engaging and evidence-based learning experiences.Curriculum Development: Experience developing, delivering and evaluating curriculum, learning materials and assessments in alignment with Higher Education standards, subject learning outcomes and accreditation requirements.Psychology in Oral Health: Demonstrated understanding of psychological and behavioural principles relevant to oral health practice, including communication, patient behaviour, interpersonal processes and the social determinants of health.WWCC and Police Check: Appointment to this position is dependent on obtaining a Victorian ''employee'' Working with Children Check, and a valid Police Check within the last 12 months.PreferredExperience in Oral Health (Therapy and Hygiene) or related fieldResearch ExperienceOur commitment to you:At Holmesglen Institute, we are committed to fostering a safe, supportive, and flexible workplace where our employees can thrive both personally and professionally.
