Job Description The ERP SAP Procurement Officer is responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities within the defence enterprise resource planning (ERP) system, specifically SAP. This role ensures timely acquisition of goods and services to support sustainment operations, fleet readiness, and strategic capability delivery. The officer works closely with inventory, finance, and engineering teams to align procurement with operational priorities and budget constraints. This position will be directed by the Australian Commonwealth (CoA) Supervision. Procurement Execution & SAP Management Raise, monitor, and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders in SAP: Ensure procurement actions comply with Commonwealth Procurement Rules (CPRs), defence contracting policies, and financial delegations; and Track delivery timelines, resolve delays, and maintain accurate records of procurement status; Financial oversight and budget alignment; Liaise with approved suppliers and subcontractors to confirm specifications, lead times, and contract terms: Support contract management activities including renewals, amendments, and performance tracking; and Address procurement delays and escalate risks impacting sustainment schedules; Fleet Sustainment and configuration support; Coordinate procurement of parts and services for platforms with emerging configuration issues (e.g. M88A2) Ensure procurement data supports accurate fleet sustainment planning and readiness reporting; Reporting and compliance; and Generate procurement reports and dashboards from SAP to support decision-making and audit requirements; Ensure compliance with defence procurement regulations, audit standards, and data governance protocols. Essential Job Qualifications Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance Security Clearance of NV1 Strong and accurate verbal and written communication skills Expediting and shortage management. Excellent attention to detail with ability to multi-task Proficiency with Microsoft Excel. Demonstrated relevant procurement experience. Ability to prioritise to workload and adapt to changing priorities.
