People and Culture BP Lead (Senior Manager)Location: Melbourne, Victoria, AustraliaAbout the roleOur newly created role of HR Business Partner based in Melbourne will have the experience and confidence to partner with a client group across various divisions and leaders throughout the business to deliver on key HR objectives and initiatives. The role will report to our Head of HR based in Brisbane.Key ResponsibilitiesProactively partner with leaders to identify and solve critical organisational and people issues, focusing on maximizing employee experience and minimizing risk and build and maintain relationships with leaders to understand their business and human resource needs.Coach leaders to inspire and develop their teams, fostering a high-performance and inclusive culture.Provide expert, timely advice on all people-related matters, including but not limited to performance improvement, employee relations, disciplinary processes, and OH&S.Proactively identify and manage people and culture-related trends/risk in partnership with the Head of HR and business leaders.Implement annual and ad-hoc HR processes and initiatives as required.Provide advice, coaching and assistance to managers on performance improvement, disciplinary process and employment relations matters.Provide expert guidance on performance management, case management, and restructuring.Collaborate on and develop bestpractice playbooks and resources to empower leaders to manage their people effectively.Conduct bi-annual REM and performance reviews.Support learning and development initiatives across all levels of the business units.Facilitate divisional engagement survey discussions and action planning.HR Strategy and ProjectsParticipate, develop and implement people programs across the People and Culture roadmap.Drive transformational change projects in line with the People and Culture roadmap; assist with planning and implementing organisational change.Collaborate with the broader People and Culture team on joint processes, policies, and projects to ensure consistency and a seamless employee experience.To succeed in this role you will bring with youProven experience as an HR Business Partner: 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a generalist HR role, supported by relevant tertiary qualifications.Core HR expertise: Proven expertise in key HR functions including performance management, employee relations, organisational development, remuneration and benefits, and talent management.Strategic & Analytical acumen: Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problemsolving skills with the ability to translate business goals into a People & Culture strategy/initiatives.Exceptional stakeholder management: Proven ability to influence, negotiate, and build strong relationships with leaders at all levels.Proactive & autonomous: The proven ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and take ownership of issues and projects from start to finish.Data literacy: Experience using HR metrics and data to inform decisionmaking and measure the effectiveness of people initiatives.Legal knowledge: Strong knowledge of Australian employment law (New Zealand law is an advantage).Technology fluency: High level of comfort with HRIS (preferably Employment Hero) and other HR technology platforms (e.g., Culture Amp, Mercer, LinkedIn and AI).Coaching & communication: Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills with a proven ability to coach and influence leaders and team members to drive desired outcomes.Attention to detail: Meticulous attention to detail.Travel flexibility: Flexibility to travel within Australia and New Zealand as required on occasion.Change & project leadership: Demonstrated experience in driving and managing key projects, including organisational change initiatives would be highly regarded.Our benefitsFlexibility & BalanceHybrid & flexible working: Tailor your work week to suit your lifestyle.6 ''Me'' days: Extra leave to prioritize your wellbeing.Religious & cultural swap leave: Trade a public holiday for one that''s meaningful to you.Extra annual leave: Need more time off?
