In addition, we are delivering unique sporting infrastructure projects, including the redevelopment of Penrith Stadium.About The RoleThe main priority of the role is to ensure accurate cost plans / estimates of allocated projects are completed on time, in accordance with required technical standards and to provide leadership in the preconstruction phase of the project.What You Will DoCost plan / estimate project quantities and costs in preparation of major tenders on time to a high standardInterpret drawings, specifications, briefs, scopes, and standards and assess their impact on project costsUnderstand legislation that could have an impact on project costs including relevant building codesMonitor current pricing, new techniques and cost trendsEstablish trade cost code / work breakdown structure for alignment and analysis with benchmarkingEnsure alignment and relationships are maintained with Cost Planning & Estimating team and other internal stakeholdersMaintain and develop relationships with subcontractors/suppliers to ensure accurate and favourable pricing as part of the adjudication processAssess, prepare and present escalation schedulesComplete project cashflows that provide a minimum cash neutral positionPeer review cost plans / estimates prior to submissionsAssist project managers in the preparation of major variation claimsValidate design development progressing in line with budget on projects in deliveryConduct as built cost analysis and contribute to actual cost data benchmarkingProvide iterative feasibility cost plan pricing for commercial assessment project analysisWhat We Are Looking ForTertiary or Trade Qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying and/or Project/Construction Management10 years'' construction experienceMulti-disciplinary estimating experienceAdvanced financial management skillsAdvanced skills in contemporary estimating software packagesExperience in Construct Only, Design & Construct, Managing Contract, Alliance, Joint Ventures & PPP Contracts typesQuantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessmentWhat''s in it for you when you join John Holland?We are about connecting your sense of purpose to ours.
