Expect all this and more when you join us at BevChain.OverviewThe Transport Supervisor is tasked with efficiently implementing the daily night load plan for bulk and route deliveries, aiming to minimise costs and enhance equipment utilisation across the Melbourne metropolitan area. Specifically tailored to the Customer Mentone Operation, this position entails collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including BevChain drivers, subcontractors, and the tier one beverage customer to ensure utmost customer satisfaction. The goal is to optimise all delivery opportunities and establish processes with dispatch/receiving facilities to uphold high levels of on-time performance and continuous improvement. This is a permanent night-shift role (Monday Friday, 9pm 5am) with flexibility required for peak periods.ResponsibilitiesEffectively allocate and schedule drivers/subcontractors predominately to distribution centres to achieve daily workloads promptly and cost-effectivelySupervise subcontractors and fleet requirements to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of daily workloadsManage all transport documentation, including load weight/time, constraints, PODs, driver run sheets, transfers, and RDOsMaintain close communication and regularly update the on-site customer to ensure seamless executionEnsure all KPI reports are precise and aligned with customer expectationsMaintain and foster a cooperative relationship among operational, transport, and administrative staff within BevChain and the customerReview and coordinate next day loads for the drivers to commence the following dayDemonstrate a commitment to safety and compliance by actively participating in risk management, audits, work site visits, SWATs, and site discussionsQualificationsDemonstrated experience as a Transport Allocator/Scheduler in a busy logistics environmentIn-depth understanding of load configurations, weights, and truck trailer type allocationProficiency in MS Suite and utilising a TMS and WMSExcellent communication and time management skillsGood knowledge of compliance requirements (CoR, OH&S, fatigue, mass limits)Strong customer service and problem-solving skillsA relevant qualification in logistics, business, or supply chain (Cert IV or above desirable)What''s in it for me?12 weeks paid parental leave and return to work bonus for eligible employeesCareer development opportunities and mentoring programsAccess to a range of benefits across dining and adventure, travel and health and well-beingAt Linfox, we focus on providing an inclusive and diverse workplace.
