Our Centre in Prospect is very established with long-standing team members who have built reciprocal relationships with families in the local community.ABOUT THE ROLEWe are looking to fill a key leadership role, as the Assistant Director at our beautiful, purpose-built 120-place Long Day Care Centre in Prospect. The Assistant Director supports the Centre Director in the effective day-to-day management of the service, ensuring high-quality education and care, regulatory compliance and a positive workplace culture. This role is ideal for a confident leader who is passionate about mentoring teams, supporting families and driving continuous improvement.TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIESUndertaking tasks to support the Centre operationally and maintain viabilityCompleting compliance duties to ensure that practices are always of high qualityParticipating in the Quality Improvement Framework, ensuring that you contribute to the QIP by documenting evidence reflecting standardsWhen required, completing rosters and effectively managing staffing arrangementsParticipating in our Community Engagement Program to build relationships with the local communityContributing to our Communities of Practice Professional Learning Program by reflecting on improvement goals and reporting on progress in exceeding practiceEngaging in critical reflective practice and documenting leadership decisionsWorking collaboratively with your Director and Portfolio Leader, and acting on directives to make service improvementsSupporting the planning and implementation of the daily learning programs for children, ensuring that documentation is up to date and reflected on our digital platformsEngaging in daily administrative duties, ensuring that practices, policies and systems are maintained atReflecting on your performance and participating in probationary processes, including setting SMART goals/strategies and engaging in AppraisalsAct as the Responsible Person in the absence of the DirectorLead, motivate and mentor educators to foster a positive, professional team cultureSupport staff performance, wellbeing and professional developmentWork collaboratively with the Educational Leader to support high-quality pedagogyModel best practice in child-centred, inclusive and reflective teachingSupport compliance with the National Quality Framework, regulations and service policiesSupport preparation for assessment and rating visitsEnsure child safety, wellbeing and supervision practices are embedded at all timesBuild strong, respectful partnerships with familiesSupport enrolments, orientations and ongoing family communicationHandle day-to-day queries and concerns in a professional and timely mannerUndertake the rostering, staffing ratios and attendance managementAssist with centre administration, documentation and reportingSupport onboarding and induction of new staffAssist with workplace health and safety practicesWHY JOIN OUR PAISLEY PARK FAMILYAt Paisley Park, we believe our Educators are our greatest asset.
