Whether youre an experienced manual machinist or a skilled CNC machinist looking to expand your expertise into this exciting field, this is your opportunity to grow and work on unique, hands-on projects.Based in our Henderson workshop where we complete jobbing works, there will be ample opportunity to take part in in-situ machining works within the Perth Metro area and also around the nation should you choose.Why In-situ Machining?In-situ machining is a specialized field that takes machining expertise directly to our customers sites. Learn to operate line boring machines, portable radial mills, portable XYZ milling machines, portable CNC machines, flange facers and much more!About the RoleSetting up & machining on various machines; CNC Lathes, CNC Mills, CNC Horizontal borers, Manual machiningIn-situ machining various types including line boring, CNC milling, manual milling, drilling tapping, flange facing and radial millingCarry out manufacture of products to drawing specifications, samples & instructionsMaintain measuring and inspection equipment in good order while also having a high level of housekeeping within the machining areasEnsure machines are running productively, monitoring set up and down times to produce parts as efficiently as possibleLiaise with Programmer or Workshop Manager to review machining process and toolingCompletion of dimensional inspection reports and associated paper workAssist in other areas as directed by the Workshop ManagerMultiple roles available: tasks may vary depending on individual applicants skill set and interests.What Were Looking ForProven experience as a Manual Machinist or CNC Machinist in either milling or turning and would be beneficial to have a strong interest in transitioning to on-site machiningARC or MIG welding experience preferred but not essentialProficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawingsStrong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skillsWillingness to travel and work in a variety of environmentsA commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of workRelevant certifications or trade qualifications in metal machining, first class machinist, fitter machinist or equivalentWhat We OfferHands-on training and mentorship in on-site and workshop machining techniquesOpportunities to work on diverse and challenging projects in various industriesFree access to webinars, training events and courses; we promote a culture of continuous learning and assisting you to reach your full potentialsRecognition programs and incentive for your performanceAccess to attractive retail discountEligible for 1 Good to Give Leave Day per calendar year in addition to normal leave entitlements to participate in volunteering activitiesUniforms supplied feel like a teamParental leave top-up allowanceEmployee Assistance Program with access to mental health and well-being support initiatives including confidential counselling servicesAbout MotionWittenbaker Engineering Services is a part of Motion, and we are a leading company in CNC machining and engineering workshop.
