Senior Associate/Special Counsel Commercial Litigation Base pay range: $180,000.00/yr - $270,000.00/yr. This range is provided by Carlyle Kingswood Global. Senior leadership role with responsibility for complex commercial litigation matters and mentoring junior lawyers. Responsibilities Run complex commercial litigation from initial advice to resolution, including strategy, pleadings, and advocacy. Act for clients in contractual, corporate, insolvency, and regulatory disputes. Represent clients in contested applications, mediations, and hearings in State and Federal Courts. Draft high-quality pleadings, affidavits, and settlement documentation. Provide commercially focused legal advice on dispute strategy and risk. Mentor junior lawyers, review work, and support technical development. Support business development through client relationship management and thought leadership. Requirements Law degree and an Australian Practising Certificate. 510 years PQE in commercial litigation, ideally with exposure to insolvency or regulatory disputes. Strong technical ability and confident file leadership across varied litigation matters. Excellent drafting and oral advocacy skills. Ability to provide strategic, client-focused advice with commercial insight. Demonstrated leadership capability and commitment to mentoring. Organised, proactive, and able to manage competing litigation demands.
