OverviewgenU is looking for passionate and creative Mental Health and Interpersonal Skill Mentors (Mental Health Support Worker) to support customers with psychosocial disabilities in achieving personal goals using board and tabletop games, Dungeon and Dragons roleplay, and general gaming.At genU, were a profit-for-purpose organisation, reinvesting our success back into programs to create real social impact. From disability and aged care support to community-focused initiatives, were here to help people live their best lives.We are looking for people who are available Monday to Friday within 8.30am-4pm but additionally for some evening gaming session and weekends as required.What youll doFacilitate engaging, goal-oriented gaming sessions using recovery-based and person-centred active support models through gaming.Support customers to build independence, social connections, and interpersonal skills through structured gameplay.Identify and address barriers to participation, using gaming strategies to support individual goals and NDIS-funded outcomes.Maintain accurate documentation, including progress notes, and contribute to client planning and compliance requirements.What youll bringFirst Aid and CPR Training within 6 months of currencyExperience with gaming and tabletop gaming such as Dungeons and DragonsNDIS Worker Screening or willingness to obtainWorking With Childrens Check Victoria or willingness to obtainWhy youll love working at genUAt genU, our differences make us stronger.
