Job Description

Health Promotion Officer (Recruitment Pool) The Health Promotion Officer is a dynamic and community-focused position. You will work closely with local communities, key stakeholders, and your line manager to develop, plan, implement, and evaluate culturally appropriate health promotion programs, address local, state, and national population health priorities, collaborate with community groups, service providers, and government agencies to improve health outcomes and contribute to innovative strategies that empower communities to make healthier choices. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact on the health and wellbeing of people living in rural and remote WA. Key Responsibilities Work with local communities, stakeholders, and line manager to develop and implement health promotion programs. Plan, deliver, and evaluate culturally appropriate health promotion activities. Collaborate with community groups, service providers, and government agencies to improve health outcomes. Identify and address population health priorities across rural and remote WA. Eligibility to Apply To be eligible for appointment, applicants must have a valid working visa (for fixed-term appointments) or be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a visa to live and work indefinitely in Australia (for permanent appointments). Other Conditions WA Health engages staff in positions of trust and responsibility.
