Metrea maintains nine Support Groups that act as a global sharedservice function for the core capability domains above, guiding and enabling the development of Metreas products, projects, and programs to help them achieve objectives efficiently and effectively. Position Summary The Infrastructure & Facilities Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the physical, technical infrastructure and facilities on our operating bases are established to meet contract timelines and managed effectively in accordance with Australian safety regulations, applicable contract security arrangements, and operational requirements. The role is essential for establishing and sustaining operational services and the mission readiness underpinning Metreas airborne ISR program. Responsible for planning, setting up, and maintaining infrastructure, facilities, and services that support operational activities, including remote locations. Coordinates site development, manages subcontractors, ensures compliance with operational, safety and security standards, and oversees onsite security where required. Manages essential services such as fuel, transportation, utilities and logistics support to enable movement and sustainment of equipment and materials. Once operations are established, focus shifts to ongoing maintenance, service delivery and contract oversight. Strong project execution skills and knowledge of relevant safety, security and operational support requirements are essential. Roles And Responsibilities Develop and implement Infrastructure Support Plans detailing methodology for establishing and maintaining an operating base, including resources, risks and costs. Oversee the establishment of physical infrastructure including fuel, utilities, ground handling, consumables supply and security systems. Manage schedule and dependencies for facility commissioning, ensuring readiness for inspection and accreditation. Act as site lead for physical security compliance in accordance with security management plans and the Australian government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF). Once established, oversee ongoing management of facilities including maintenance, security and coordination with ILS managers of logistics support to operations. May include management responsibilities for logistics coordinators, facility supervisors and subcontracted maintenance staff. Liaise with Commonwealth representatives, airport authorities and subcontractors to ensure uninterrupted operations and compliance with security and regulatory requirements. Support emergency response, safety and incident management procedures. Skills And Experience Bachelors degree in Logistics, Engineering, Facilities Management or related technical discipline. Equivalent Defence or aviation logistics experience considered. Minimum 710 years experience in Defence, aerospace or government logistics or infrastructure programs. Proven success establishing and managing multiple operational bases or logistics hubs. Experience developing or working with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and Facilities Management plans for aviation or Defence programs. Understanding of PSPF and ISM facility security zoning (Zone2 / Zone4) and DISP compliance. Experience managing subcontractors and suppliers in a regulated environment. Familiarity with CASA Part138 operations and Part145 maintenance support frameworks advantageous. Demonstrated experience in stakeholder engagement, contract delivery oversight and performance management frameworks focused on mission success. Excellent communication and leadership skills, coordinating crossfunctional and geographically dispersed teams. Strong logistical, analytical and organisational capability. Proactive and handson leader able to operate across technical, commercial and operational domains, both getting into the weeds and being strategic. Detailoriented with commitment to compliance, safety, security and mission success. Collaborative communicator focused on problemsolving and continuous improvement. Adaptable and resilient under tight timeframes and operational pressure. Ability to work in a fastpaced, sometimes highpressure environment. Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a fulltime position with typical working hours MondayFriday, 9:00a.m. to 6:00p.m. Hours and shifts may change in accordance with departmental and business needs.
