Transformer Technician Powertech is a trusted leader in highvoltage, lowvoltage commissioning and maintenance across Australia and Southeast Asia, driving critical projects in Oil & Gas, Mining, Utilities, Renewable Energy, Infrastructure and Defence Industries since 1998. We are seeking an experienced Transformer Technician to support our Malaga office on a fulltime permanent basis. Opportunities for upskilling and professional development. About the Role Achieve deliverables outlined in the transformer services business plan. Perform work and provide technical support for HV power transformers. Ensure client requirements are met and exceed expectations. Build and maintain strong relationships with Powertech clients. Professionally execute all assigned projects from start to finish. Work in remote areas within the state, offshore and interstate as required. About You Electrical trade background (current fitter/mechanic electrical license preferred but not required). Five or more years of experience with power transformers. Experience with transformer oil filtration, circulation, rectification and refurbishment. Knowledge of transformer installation, assembly and onsite support. Experience with site inspections and consultancy for maintenance plans. Familiarity with transformer components and accessories (tap changer systems, etc.). Ability to faultfind, diagnose and repair transformers, including oil diagnosis. Strong knowledge of transformer service requirements. Demonstrated interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills. Truck licence preferred but not required. Electrical testing of transformers preferred but not required. Ready to join the team?
