About The Role The Safety Coordinator- WHS role is integral to the efficient operation of the ALDI Safety Department. This is a permanent full-time role based in Brendale. Promote and drive a positive safety culture by supporting operational teams in managing health and safety risks within Store Operations. Responsibilities Provide technical guidance and advice on health and safety matters by interpreting legislative requirements. Conduct risk assessments, incident investigations, periodic audits and site visits, and develop Safe Work Procedures (SWPs) as directed. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders through consultation, training, and development. Respond to WHS incidents for the region and actively manage your area of responsibility within the team using initiative and suggesting ways to improve systems for greater efficiency. Assist in the maintenance and periodic review of the WHS Management system, Safety Online and the Contractor Management System. Analyse and report on safety data to monitor and review performance against WHS KPIs and targets. Assist with injury management activities if required. Qualifications Demonstrated WHS experience in a retail or multi-site role, with detailed knowledge of WHS requirements, legislation and best practice. Team player with a solutions-focused approach and ability to collaborate and build rapport with internal and external stakeholders. Open communication style with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure and with direction. Relevant WHS qualifications (Certificate IV in WHS preferred). Injury management experience, or a willingness to learn, highly regarded. Benefits 5 weeks annual leave. Hybrid work options.
