This role is located at DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Sydney CBD. About The Role DroneShield is seeking a Packaging Designer with relevant experience to join the team in Sydney, NSW. The position will report to the Digital Design Lead and will be responsible for the design and maintenance of DroneShields product packaging and packing process, from concept through to manufacture. Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations Design product packaging from initial concepts through to manufacture, considering cost, materials, design requirements, user experience and brand consistency. Prepare 3D CAD files and printready files for liaison with suppliers. Create and maintain packaging documentation, including packing manuals and packing lists. Review and QC packed articles. Effectively manage multiple projects and deadlines, balancing adhoc requests while maintaining highquality outputs. Coordinate with various packaging suppliers, negotiating on cost, timelines and quality/quantity. Document design concepts and processes for review by company stakeholders. Stay up to date with trends in packaging design, sustainability practices and materials technology. Qualifications, Experience and Skills Bachelors degree in Industrial Design, or equivalent. 2+ years experience in 3D packaging design. Strong proficiency with Solidworks and the Adobe suite. Experience and knowledge of packaging materials, properties and finishes. Experience creating technical die lines and printready files. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
