We are seeking retail assistants to join our Village Grocer and UniShop team at UOW Wollongong campus. The successful candidates will assist in delivering customer and operational excellence. The Role This is a handson role where you will play a key part in daily operations and ensuring outstanding customer service standards are consistently met. Responsibilities Assist with daytoday store operations, including opening, closing and stocking shelves. Provide excellent customer service in a busy retail environment. Work a varied roster during store trading hours, including flexibility to open and close the store during business hours. Qualifications Excellent customer service background and ability to work in a busy customer service environment. The ability to work in a team environment, whilst showcasing good leadership skills. Familiar with supermarket or retail POS systems. High level attention to detail and accuracy in work. Understanding of how to maximise financial return and deliver high operational standards. A high level of problemsolving skills, including confidence in reacting to unexpected operational issues through to resolution. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop positive relationships with colleagues, customers and stakeholders.
