Your Role Reporting to the Executive Director, the Estimating Manager will assume a handson position pricing a range of civil construction infrastructure projects and lead a national team. The ideal candidate will have experience across a wide range of civil projects, including FRP, concrete and earthworks, and will possess the technical expertise to provide firstclass estimation and contract management capabilities while building and managing a highperforming team. Your Responsibilities Lead the tenders team to build successful tender submissions Provide tender construction schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project Create project execution methodologies that align with the cost estimate and construction schedule Oversee the precontracts gate process end to end Build, mentor and lead the tenders team Complete material takeoffs Prepare and price estimates in their entirety and develop detailed project budgets Peerreview estimates to ensure accuracy Prepare risk and opportunity analyses prior to tendering Create tender assumptions, clarifications, and queries Assist with negotiating contracts and agreements Work in collaboration with operational subjectmatter experts to ensure tenders manage and consider risks appropriately Build and maintain strong working relationships with all key stakeholders Efficiently perform all stages of an estimate including methodology, estimate organisation, takeoff, pricing, review, and closeout Facilitate project handover including cost coding and variation pricing About you Demonstrated experience in a similar Senior Estimating role within the civil construction industry, with exposure to selfperform civils ranging from $15M to $100M Formal tertiary education in QS, Civil Engineering, Project Management, Contracts Management or similar desirable A minimum of 10 years estimating experience Understanding of the National Code of Practice, procurement and construction methodology Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and lead a highfunctioning team Strong attention to detail and accuracy What we offer Competitive salary package plus super paid weekly Discounted health insurance Novated lease options Transfer or sponsorship of 482 visa (incountry) Work amongst engaged leaders and collaborative teams Safety at the forefront of everything we do Work with tier 1 clients Whittens is committed to workplace diversity.
