While the College has had a successful recruitment process across the end of 2025 we are yet to fill an important teacher leadership role. The position, known as a Lead Teacher position is responsible for the daytoday leadership of a campus program. The program carries an enrolment of approximately 40 students and the successful candidate will also oversee and directly support four program staff. The role is a teaching role and the successful candidate will be able to work effectively with the small staff team while also delivering quality teaching to atrisk students. The program sits within a larger support framework that includes leadership, administration and students services supports. Role Purpose & Key Responsibilities The Lead Teacher plays a central role in ensuring the successful delivery of the educational and recovery programs of Alta1 College. They: Lead small teams to deliver great outcomes for atrisk students Manage the overall operation of a college campus program Deliver curriculum in line with College and regulatory requirements Provide pastoral care and support to students Manage student behaviour and ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment Engage positively with parents and external agencies Contribute to campus and program development The role requires professional integrity, effective communication, and a commitment to both student transformation and teaching excellence.
