Job Reference: 1417585 About the Role As a Systems Administrator, you will provide highlevel technical expertise across a range of enterprise systems and platforms. You will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, monitoring, administration and ongoing support of centrally managed infrastructure, applications, workstations, audiovisual systems and related services. The role is currently based in the Application Support team, with opportunities to work across other specialist IT Operations teams as required. Key Responsibilities Provide expert technical support for ICT infrastructure, systems and applications. Implement, configure, monitor and administer servers, platforms and services in a largescale production environment. Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, including liaison with vendors and external partners. Perform maintenance, patching and upgrades to ensure high availability, performance and security. Contribute to capacity planning, system improvements and technology lifecycle management. Ensure security and integrity of systems through access management, monitoring and application of best practice. Develop and maintain technical documentation, standards and procedures. Work collaboratively with ICT teams and University stakeholders to deliver reliable, highquality services. What we are looking for A relevant degree with substantial experience, or an equivalent combination of qualifications and experience. Demonstrated experience administering and supporting enterprise environments such as Windows, Linux, VMware, storage, AV or largescale applications. Strong problemsolving, analytical and troubleshooting skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities. The ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team. Desirable Industry certifications (e.g. Microsoft, VMware or similar). Experience with Office 365, Microsoft SCCM/SCOM, CRM platforms or AV control systems in a large organisation.
