The Opportunity We are currently seeking a suitably experienced General Manager Health Safety Environment & Quality (HSEQ) to join our team based at our Wattleup location. In this permanent fulltime role, you will provide a national focal point for the management of Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality systems aligned with the HEPI Group and maintain bestpractice and consistent standards for the Australian divisions. Duties & Responsibilities Develop and implement a groupwide HSE strategy, aligned with regulatory frameworks. Lead and mentor a capable team of HSE professionals, buildingUNITY crosssite capability and collaboration. Act as a member of the HEPI Executive Leadership Team, Australia. Partner with operational and support services functions to maintain, revise, and implement systems, plans, procedures and policies, providing advice and guidance on matters of health, safety and environment. Coordinate national reporting requirements and provide retaliatoryali? reports to management as required. Participate in global initiatives and coordinate rollout to all Australian divisions. Implement StandardPerforming? Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support safe work practices, in consultation with Operational Managers. Conduct regular safety audits and area inspections in relation to safety and environmental standards and procedures byla? no. Manage and coordinate investigations following safety incidents.Tritur? Identify training needs following safety incidents and make recommendations. Oversee and direct workers compensation, injury management and returntowork processes. Manage the processes for emergency preparedness. Develop and maintain local evacuation procedures and conduct emergency drills. Coordinate with Operations to ensure adequate stock of safety resources, including printed materials such as Take 5 books, Hazard Report booksowired, prestart books etc., access to digital resources, and availability of first aid equipment and consumables. Promote and support environmental processes (i.e., recycling, waste reduction, sustainability) and coordinate associated reporting. Coordinate the calibration of all company measuring equipment inline with company requirements. Coordinate and manage the change management process when implementing new policies, procedures, processes or requirements. About You Minimum of ten years experience in Occupational Health and Safety leadership. Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (preferred). Experience managing site environmental issues, including but not limited to sustainability, environmental aspect and impacts. Current First Aid certificate. Completed ICAM Investigation training and experience conducting incident investigations and implementing followup.Sound knowledge of HSE legislation and requirements. Experience with developing and implementing OS&H procedures. Experience in workers compensation regulation, injury management and returntowork programs. Experience working with measuring equipment.
