Position Profile An exciting and rare opportunity is available for a Specialist Palliative Care Consultant to join the Paediatric Palliative Care and Hospice Service for Western Australia based at Perth Childrens Hospital. The service is expanding to include a stateoftheart, 7bed Childrens Hospice that will be the first of its kind in Western Australia, providing specialised palliative care for children living with lifelimiting conditions aged from birth to 18 years. In This Role, You Will Provide senior clinical leadership and expertise in paediatric palliative care across hospital, outpatient, outreach and hospice settings, including supervision of junior medical staff. Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of paediatric palliative care services locally and statewide, contributing to clinical governance, quality improvement and research initiatives. Collaborate and liaise with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders, including community services, government and nongovernment organisations, to ensure coordinated, patientcentred care. Support education, training and professional development, including teaching health professionals, engaging in research and maintaining ongoing specialist registration and peer review participation.
