Government Relations Manager Queensland Cricket | Brisbane (Allan Border Field) Queensland Cricket is on the lookout for an experienced Government Relations Manager to lead our engagement with government and secure outcomes that support the longterm growth of cricket across Queensland. This is a senior role reporting directly to the CEO with direct influence on how Queensland Cricket is positioned with decisionmakers, strengthening advocacy and driving increased investment across community, pathway, and elite cricket. About the role You will lead Queensland Crickets government relations strategy and act as a trusted advisor to the Executive Team on policy, funding, and stakeholder engagement. Key responsibilities include: Building and maintaining strong relationships with State and Commonwealth government representatives, local councils, and key stakeholders Developing and delivering advocacy strategies that position Queensland Cricket positively Identifying and progressing funding opportunities across infrastructure, participation, and high performance Monitoring legislative and policy developments and advising on impacts to the business Supporting executive decisionmaking through clear analysis, insight, and strategic advice About you You will bring experience in government relations, public affairs, policy, or a related field, with a strong ability to influence, communicate and navigate complex stakeholder environments. You will likely have: Proven experience in a similar senior role Strong analytical and strategic thinking capability Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and decisionmakers A genuine interest in contributing to sport, community outcomes, and longterm impact Experience in sport, public policy or government environments is beneficial but not essential.
