Fulltime employment: 1year full time traineeship with salary Fully funded qualification: Certificate III in Business Gain real experience: Handson experience with the City of Sydney Supportive workplace: Guidance from senior staff and supervisors Employment support: Dedicated Employment Coach and First Nations mentor (if you are First Nations) The Roles on Offer We have TWO exciting traineeship opportunities available with the City of Sydney: Venue Operations Trainee and Library Trainee. Both roles offer handson experience, professional development and a fully funded Certificate III in Business. Venue Operations Traineeship The Venue Operations Trainee will provide essential administrative and operational support to the Venue Management Operations team. This role focuses on assisting with the coordination of events, liaising with clients and helping with event setup, delivery and packdown. Key Responsibilities Assist the Venue Management team with event preparation, including event sheets, floor plans, quotes, purchase orders and weekly reports. Support communication with internal and external clients by providing timely and accurate information about booking requirements. Help the team during event setup, operation and packdown to ensure events run smoothly. Work within tight timeframes, build positive relationships with stakeholders and maintain a high level of accuracy while managing multiple deadlines. Library Traineeship The Library Assistant Trainee will provide customer service, technology support and assist with core library services. This handson role includes helping at the help desk, supporting library programs for all ages and ensuring a welcoming and wellmaintained environment. Key Responsibilities Assist customers at the help desk with enquiries and selfservice options. Support library programs, events and literacy initiatives. Reshelve materials, maintain collections and prepare displays. Help customers with library equipment, personal devices and software. Youll bring A friendly, professional approach to customer service and communication. The ability to communicate confidently with people from diverse backgrounds. Strong organisational and timemanagement skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Basic computer skills, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (or a willingness to learn). Most importantly, youll contribute positively to an inclusive, respectful and supportive workplace.
