Overview PSCA, Level 6, $120,457 - $132,753 p.a. plus 12% Superannuation. This is a permanent, full-time position based in Narrogin. Applications for this position close at midday on Wednesday, 4 February 2026. Located in the Wheatbelt Region, Narrogin lies near the Dryandra Woodland, a valuable nature conservation area. The region is popular with nature lovers for its diverse flora and fauna, walking trails and guided nocturnal tours of the Barna Mia animal sanctuary. We currently have an opportunity for a Regional Operations Manager to join our team. At the Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA), leadership expectations define the mindsets and behaviours required of all employees. In this role you will be Leading Others to help drive positive change. Responsibilities Prepare and oversee the delivery and use of the operations team for implementing the annual schedule of works across all services. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and the community regarding works program implementation. Coordinate plant, vehicles, equipment and material resources for the region. Advise the Wheatbelt Regional Manager on operational matters of regional significance. Selection Criteria Applicants should address the following four criteria. These should be addressed in no more than four pages in total. Considerable experience in natural resource management including environmental, recreational, fire, park, and reserve management, and understanding of threats to conservation and wildlife from human interaction. Considerable experience in high-level leadership, supervision, organisational and works program planning, and human resource management skills; including promoting staff development, dealing with contentious issues and improving performance, empowering staff to achieve outcomes. Evidence of high-level oral communication and interpersonal skills, and experience in liaison and negotiation with other government agencies, industry, stakeholders, Aboriginal groups and community interest groups, and the media, with experience resolving complex issues. Considerable experience in and knowledge of administrative and financial management, including budget preparation and expenditure control.
