Meet some of our people and learn more about the Commission and our Regulatory Strategy on our website www.agedcarequality.gov.au About the Team Effective stakeholder engagement is an essential enabler to support the Commissions role as the national regulator of aged care quality and safety and in driving reforms within the aged care sector. The Engagement and Events team is responsible for supporting and coordinating the Commissions engagement with key stakeholders. Key stakeholders include older Australians, aged care providers and workers, industry peak bodies, partners and government. About the Role The role of Assistant Director, Secretariat is responsible for delivering quality, end-to-end secretariat support for the Commissions key stakeholder meetings and forums. The role ensures that meetings are efficiently coordinated and supported by clear agendas, timely papers, accurate minutes and tracked action items. Through strong relationship building and strategic engagement, the position supports collaboration with peak bodies and other key stakeholders, coordinates feedback on Commission initiatives and helps gather insights to strengthen capability, inform decision making and improve regulatory outcomes. Position Duties Lead professional secretariat services for the Commission Consultative Forum, and a range of other key stakeholder meetings. This includes: coordinating and scheduling meetings liaising with attendees on agenda and action items drafting and finalising agendas, papers, minutes and high-level communication for an executive audience, within strict timeframes a high level of responsiveness and actively monitoring and updating action item registers and forward schedules Coordinate stakeholder engagement and feedback on key initiatives, projects and topics that support our functions. Assist with the management of critical and sensitive issues to deliver consistent strategic and quality messaging in line with current policies and objectives and an awareness of emerging issues in the aged care sector. Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria): To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following: Demonstrated ability to deliver effective secretariat support at the level of a board or other high-level forums/committees. Demonstrated ability to engage with a range of stakeholders in a strategic way to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. Highly developed written and oral communication skills and demonstrated ability to communicate information coherently and concisely to audiences with a range of backgrounds and cultures. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage interpersonal relationships with respect and communicate with influence with internal and external stakeholders. Highly developed leadership and management skills, including the ability to lead a team in a dynamic environment and foster a positive and supportive team culture. Capacity to work in a busy environment, working with competing priorities to effectively manage and prioritise workload among a team to deliver agreed outcomes. Understanding of the Australian aged care system. Experience working in Government. Understanding of the Commissions role as a regulator. Position Notes: Salary offered will be between $118,588- $135,251 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.
