Classification: ASO5Salary Range: $85,790 - $95,413 + SuperannuationDuration: OngoingVacancy Type: Full TimeNumber of Positions Available: 1Closing Date: 11:30pm, Tuesday 10 February 2026 About the Opportunity The Policy and Project Officer supports SafeWork SAs Strategic Policy & Legislative Services team by delivering high-quality policy advice and project outcomes. Reporting to the Project Lead, Strategic Policy and Legislative Services, the role works closely with internal teams, government agencies and industry stakeholders to inform decisionmaking and support regulatory reform. Key Responsibilities Supporting legislative reform projects, including drafting policies, procedures, briefings, Cabinet material and documentation. Providing sound regulatory and policy advice through highlevel research, analysis and interpretation of legislation and technical information. Coordinating and delivering projects or project phases, including planning, monitoring progress, managing risks and reporting on outcomes. Building and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including ministerial offices, advisory committees and industry groups. Managing project records, reports and documentation in line with legislative, governance and organisational requirements. About the Business SafeWork SA is a business unit within the AttorneyGenerals Department and is responsible for providing work, health and safety, public safety, and statebased industrial relations services across South Australia. As a regulator, our investigators and inspectors ensure work, health and safety, and public safety standards are met, and appropriate action is taken when breaches of laws are detected. We also help people better understand their work health and safety responsibilities. Special Conditions for Employment Employment is dependent upon a National Police Certificate clearance that the AGD finds satisfactory.
