Headquartered in Australia, Perenti has operations and offices in 13 countries across four continents, employs around 8,000 mining professionals and is creating enduring value and certainty for clients on some of the world''s largest mining projects.The Solution Architect is a project and strategic role responsible for evaluating a project''s business needs and determining how IT can support those needs by leveraging software, hardware, or infrastructure. This position is responsible for making architectural decisions that align with both the project scope and the overall IT strategy. Additionally, the Solution Architect will contribute to the development and maintenance of IT group standards and governance.Key accountabilities:- Contribute to the creation of Corporate Technology''s IT strategy.- Align the IT strategy with the organisation''s goals for the next 3 years.- Translate business, functional and non-functional requirements into solution designs and ensure alignment with customer expectations.- Provide guidance and direction for implementing ''The Perenti Way''.- Identify potential solution options, enhancements, and recommendations- Define and design technology solutions to assist the business in meeting their objectives.Stakeholder Engagement:- Embrace a culture of excellence in customer service.- Build and maintain relationships with team members and other stakeholders.- Seek and obtain feedback from stakeholders to ensure customer satisfaction and that service provision meets expectations.- Share knowledge and learning with others.- Perform other related duties as required.Key Skills & Experience:- Considerable knowledge and experience in the design and implementation of software and infrastructure solutions across a large environment.- Strong ability to identify opportunities and inefficiencies in IT infrastructure.- Experience in infrastructure and network solution design.- Knowledge of the challenges of remote sites, specifically remote mining sites.- Experience designing, migrating and implementing cloud-based solutions with Microsoft Azure.- Strong background in enterprise solution architecture, with experience in finance and HR business processes and technologies.- Safety-first mindset.Desirable Criteria:- Familiarity with iServer 365 is a plus but not mandatory.- Prior experience in the mining/resources sector is highly regarded but not essential.- Experience implementing and use of Infrastructure as a Service (AWS) is a plus but not mandatory.- Familiarity and commitment to the Perenti principles, including "No shortcuts," "Never wasteful," "Walk in their shoes," "Smarter together," and "Enable tomorrow."
