T2D The Torrens to Darlington (T2D) Alliance, will deliver the final 10.5km section of the North-South Corridor, forming a continuous 78 km, non-stop, traffic light-free motorway, and contributing to a long-lasting legacy for the community and people of Adelaide.The T2D Project involves constructing two separate tunnels the Southern Tunnels and the Northern Tunnels connected by an open motorway, with a combined total distance of 10.5km, open to traffic in The T2D project comprises the tunnels, surface works including road and bridge construction in addition to services buildings and complex mechanical and electrical infrastructure.The roleT2D will specialise in cutting-edge underground construction methods, including the use of Earth Pressure Balance Tunnel Boring Machines (EPB TBMs).We are beginning to seek to establish our TBM Tunnelling teams in preparation for tunnelling to commence in early 2026, and we are seeking expressions of interests from TBM Ring Builders to join our dynamic team.A Ring Builder is responsible for the installation of precast concrete segments to form the tunnel lining during the operation of a Tunnel Boring Machine (TBM).Key ResponsibilitiesOperate segment erector within the TBM to build tunnel rings safely and efficientlyAssist in the alignment and installation of precast segments to ensure correct fit and sealMonitor and report any issues with segment installation or ring build accuracyWork closely with TBM Operators and Shift Supervisors to maintain progressFollow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe working environmentPerform routine inspections and minor maintenance of equipment as requiredSupport other TBM operations as neededRequirementsProven experience in TBM ring building or similar tunnelling/construction workFamiliarity with segmental lining systems and TBM operationsStrong understanding of workplace health and safety proceduresAbility to work in confined spaces and under rotating shift schedulesPhysically fit and capable of working in demanding underground conditionsRelevant qualifications / ticketsWe offerYour success is our success, and as an Alliance, we are committed to being an employer of choice in Adelaide.
