Join a global mining leader in a permanent full time role7/7 even time roster with FIFO, DIDO or live local optionsBe part of a supportive team with engaging site leadershipWe are currently seeking a Blasting Supervisorat our Coppabella Moorvale Joint Venture (CMJV) Coppabella Mine. Our CMJV mine complex consists of two open-cut mine operations located approximately 140 kilometres southwest of Mackay thatproduce premium low-volatile pulverized coal (LV-PCI) for export markets.About the role:Join Peabody, a global leader in mining, and take on a pivotal role as Drill & Blast Supervisor. In this position, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient, and effective execution of all drilling and blasting activities within our mining operations. You will lead and coordinate teams and contractors to deliver high-quality outcomes aligned with the mine plan, while fostering a strong safety culture and driving continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities:Oversee drill and blast activities to ensure compliance with mine plans, safety standards, and legislative requirements.Manage drill utilisation and blast crew productivity to meet operational targets.Maintain accurate records of drilling and blasting performance and compliance.Lead, coach, and mentor team members, ensuring adherence to site rules and company policies.Conduct daily inspections, toolbox talks, and safety audits to uphold a zero-harm culture.Collaborate with production and technical services teams to optimise blast outcomes and support productivityAbout you:You are an operationally focused leader with a strong background in open cut coal mining, known for delivering results through high performing teams and driving continuous improvement on site.S1, S2, S3 Supervisory competencies and G2Shotfirer''s ticketMinimum 5 years in open cut drill and blast operationsProven leadership experience in supervising teamsExposure to non-el and electronic blasting systemsStrong understanding of WHS Acts & Regulations, CMSH Acts, AS2187.2, and explosives legislationThe lifestyle:This position is offered on a 7 days on 7 days off roster and can allow for a residential (Moranbah) DIDO or FIFO from Brisbane.Peabody Energy also offers the following:Employee assistance program available for yourself and immediate familyNovated vehicle leasing availableHealth and lifestyle benefits via (WHEREFIT) corporate programEmployee recognition programSite allowancesLive local benefitsModern camp with premium facilities and mealsOnsite gym, functional room & group fitness classesOngoing learning & career development supportAbout Peabody:Peabody is a leading coal producer, providing the essential products required for affordable, reliable energy and steel.
