We are looking for a practical, reliable, and proactive Handyperson to join our team at a well-established large motel. This is a hands-on role responsible for the presentation, upkeep, and day-to-day maintenance of the motel''s rooms, facilities, gardens, and public areas.As the Handyman, you will be integral to ensuring the property operates smoothly and maintains its visual appeal. From fixing furniture to garden upkeep, no two days are the same. Your attention to detail and problem-solving skills will help maintain the high standards expected by our guests.This is a casual role offering 30hrs per week, Monday- Friday.This position is based in Maitland, NSW.This opportunity is perfect for a practical individual who takes pride in their work, enjoys variety in their day, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a small team.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:General room repairs and maintenance including minor painting and tilingFurniture, door, and equipment repairsCleaning of public areas, paths, and garden spacesPool testing and maintenanceGarden care including mowing, hedging, and leaf blowingReplacing light bulbs and air conditioning filtersAdvising the Motel Manager when trades are requiredMaintaining safe working practices and complying with WHS requirementsKey Performance Indicators:Guest satisfaction with motel appearance and functionalityPresentation of grounds and first impressionsMotel equipment and facility standards maintainedThe ideal candidate will have:Prior experience in maintenance, repairs, or a trade-related roleStrong practical and problem-solving skillsAbility to manage time and prioritise tasks independentlyBasic knowledge of safety procedures and WHS obligationsA hands-on, can-do attitude and good communication skillsGardening or landscaping experience is a bonusAbility to liaise with staff and suppliers professionallyIf you enjoy variety in your work and want to play an important role in a professional and friendly motel team, we want to hear from you.Please send your resume .Job Type: CasualPay: $31.00 $33.00 per hourWork Authorisation:Australia (Required)Work Location: In person
