Expression of Interest Mental Health Worker Outreach ProgramFixed term until end of Feb 2026Applications close: COB Friday 19 December 2025We are seeking expressions of interest from current staff to join our Outreach Program in a rewarding short-term role as Mental Health Worker.About the RoleThe mental health worker works as part of a multidisciplinary outreach team to provide assertive outreach support and complex care coordination to people who use drugs (PWUD) in North Richmond. Utilising a trauma-informed, harm reduction approach, the mental health worker will work with people to identify, assess and support mental health needs as well as providing secondary consultation within the team and more broadly to AOD services at NRCH as required.About YouYou have qualifications in Mental Health and/or Dual Diagnosis, and a First Aid qualification or willingness to obtain one. AOD qualifications are desirable.You have at least 3 years'' experience in outreach, harm reduction, mental health, or AOD work. You understand co-occurring drug and mental health issues, trauma-informed care, and harm reduction. You can assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care, and work well in a multi-disciplinary team.Desirable experience includes health promotion and working with diverse communities.You are committed to supporting vulnerable communities, building strong relationships, problem-solving, managing priorities, and communicating effectively.
