If this sounds like the kind of place you''d like to work, progress, and play, we''d love to hear from youTheSnowboard Coach will be an essential Woodward Park City''s Progression team member, reporting to the Woodward Park City Instructional Program Supervisor and Zone Coach Supervisor. The successful applicant will motivate and educate our guests in various action sports, focusing on snowboarding, skateboarding, BMX, trampoline, and tumbling. The Woodward Park City Coach works directly with guests and promotes Snowsports and action sports by providing safe, enjoyable, and effective training and instruction sessions for our guests. They are also responsible for teaching all ages and ability levels and creating proper skill progressions based on ability. This includes progressions in the Woodward Hub and the Woodward Park City mountain. Complimentary access to Snowbird and most POWDR-owned resorts (Skiing, Riding, and more)Friends & family discounts and complimentary passes.Enough free time to enjoy the Woodward lifestyle.Discounts on food, retail, and gear.Career development and growth opportunities are available here and at our facilities across the globe.A connection with people who share the same passions and embrace each other''s unique and individual styles.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:Teach beginner to advanced Snowboard and Ski lessons.Teach group and private lessons, classes, day camps, and special eventsTeach Safety Training in all areasInform and enforce all safety rules and policies, including wearing helmets, PARK SMART, ATML, etc.Create lesson plans and skill progressions.Provide general instruction and safety oversight during daily sessions in zones.Proactively engage with participants at all times.Ability to break skills down into easily definable stepsUnderstand multiple action sports, including snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, BMX, parkour, mtn. Bike, scooter, cheer, etc.Communicate well with supervisors, co-workers, and guestsCommunicate well with kids and parents from all backgroundsBe active in attending coaching clinics, spotting clinics and additional training, and possibly lead clinics of your expertiseBe a part of a unique team, set a positive example, and be a role modelSet up and tear down of Winter sports lesson areasHelp maintain the cleanliness and functionality of all Woodward Park City sports facilities, including foam pits, skateparks, progression park, etc.Other duties as assignedMust be 18 years old or older.Preferred Skills:Understanding snow and action sports tricks, progressions, and terminology, and/or experience working on trampolines or in gymnastics.Experience working with children, teens, and adultsExperience working in a camp settingInstructor, coach, or teaching certification preferred (PSIA, AASI, or USASA)High-school diploma or equivalent preferredFirst Aid/CPR Certification preferredProven ability to collaborate well across functions and departments, work as part of a team, and lead teams in achieving goals.You make us Woodward.
