The position oversees the quality, cost and operational integrity of the department, regulatory compliance and accreditation of laboratory services in the department, human resource, business and resource management.Interested in joining Australia''s largest public pathology service? Apply now by addressing the following questions:Bachelor Degree or higher degree in Science/Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent qualification, with subjects relevant to pathology from a recognised tertiary institutionDemonstrated experience and knowledge in Mass Spectrometry techniques and analysis, including GC-MS, LC-MS/MS, Full Ion Scan, SIM, and MRM targeted methods with a sound understanding of Toxicology and Pharmacology, including metabolic pathways of common drugs and drug classesCustomer focused approach displaying well-developed interpersonal skills and good oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with customers, patients and clinical and laboratory staff, along with report writing skills, statistical evaluation of scientific data and the ability to effectively communicate policies and proceduresDemonstrated understanding and knowledge of accreditation frameworks, relevant standards and quality systemsDemonstrated managerial skills with experience in laboratory operations, administration and budgetingAdvanced knowledge of Pathology Laboratory Information Systems including supervision of e-based Quality Management SystemsExtensive high level knowledge of working within the relevant section of the laboratory with knowledge of the operation and maintenance of analytical equipment in a pathology laboratory and a proven ability to troubleshoot assays, instrumentation issues and develop and implement new mass spectrometry assaysSound understanding of legislation, policies and requirements that impact the laboratory environment including work health and safety and privacy requirementsNeed more information?1) Click here for the Position Description2) Find out more about applying for this positionFor role related queries or questions contact Mcmurphy Albeos on Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious DiseasesThis is a Category A position.
