This role ensures that operations are carried out safely and with consideration of environmental protection.This role also requires the successful candidate to promote a positive culture of safety and environmental awareness to all site workersKey ResponsibilitiesAssist in the reporting, incident investigation and suggestion of corrective and/or preventive actionsresulting from identification of hazards, near miss incidents and work-related illness/injuryAssist and support the Safety team and project delivery team with preparation of safety information for client and/or stakeholder meetingsAssist in conducting Safety training, awareness and information sessions to site personnelPrepare reports, SWMS and all other communicationRegular site safety inspections and/or audits project and subcontract activitiesSupport Superintendents, Supervisors and Site Workers to eliminate or minimize hazardsReview on-site work practice, material conditions, plant and equipment and identify OSHE hazardsProvide general administrative support, monitor progression of correspondence, assist in thepreparation of responses and materials as required, arrange and manage meetings and all attendance requirementsReview on-site work practice, material conditions, plant and equipment and identify OSHE hazards Required Skills and CompetenciesAbility to undertake Certificate in Work Health and Safety (BSB41419)Ability to undertake First Aid (Level 2)Ability to undertake Construction Induction Training and Rail Industry Worker (RIW) CardFluent in Microsoft Office suite of desktop applications and related software packagesEffective interpersonal skills, enabling you to maintain effective communication with all levels oforganisation and across teamsOrganise with good time management and planning abilities, setting priorities within time constraints and managing conflicting demandsThe ability to follow Occupational Health & Safety and environmental procedures in the rail industryCurrent Driver License and your own reliable vehicle ACCIONA has been given the Top Employer 2022, 2023, 2024 & 2025 certification in Australia, which certifies the company''s commitment to excellence in human resources management and those who focus on putting their people first through their exceptional HR policies.
