Position SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled Speech Therapist to deliver high-quality, evidence-based communication and swallowing services to NDIS participants across Sydney. This role involves conducting assessments, developing personalised therapy plans, and collaborating with families, support teams, and multidisciplinary clinicians to maximise communication outcomes, participation, and independence.Key ResponsibilitiesConduct speech, language, communication, social-pragmatic, fluency, voice, AAC and swallowing assessments aligned with participant goalsDevelop and implement individualised therapy plans and functional communication programsProvide intervention in homes, the community, schools, and clinic settings, as well as via telehealth when appropriateCollaborate closely with participants, families, carers and other allied health teamsSupport participants to trial and use AAC and assistive technology, offering training and resources to families and support staffComplete clinical documentation, progress reports, goal reviews, and NDIS-required reportingMonitor progress through outcomes-based measures and adjust plans as requiredDeliver capacity-building education to participants, families, and stakeholdersUphold ethical, person-centred and culturally respectful practice in line with NDIS Quality & SafeguardsParticipate in supervision, mentoring, and professional development opportunitiesSkills and QualificationsBachelor or Master''s degree in Speech Pathology (recognised by Speech Pathology Australia)Experience working with disability, autism spectrum disorder, developmental delays, or complex communication needsStrong knowledge of functional communication approaches, AAC frameworks, and swallowing/dysphagia managementExcellent communication, interpersonal and clinical documentation skillsAbility to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary environmentDesirable AttributesPassion for person-centred care and capacity-building approachesFamiliarity with NDIS reporting, funding categories and service delivery modelsExperience in paediatrics, community disability, aged care or school-based settingsExperience supporting AAC users, behaviour support teams or assistive technology trialsCompliance RequirementsNSW Working With Children Check (must be obtained if not already held)NDIS Worker Screening Check (must be obtained if not already held)National Police Check (must be obtained if not already held)Current Australian Driver LicenceWorking rights in AustraliaValid insurance (for subcontractors)Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Subcontractor, Casual, GraduatePay: $80,000.00 $120,000.00 per year (based on experience and classification)Work Authorisation:Australia (Required)Work Location:Sydney, NSW - community, home-based, school-based and/or clinic-based service deliveryJob Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Subcontract, Casual, GraduatePay: $80,000.00 $120,000.00 per yearWork Location: In person
