With a strong emphasis on contract management, budgeting, forecasting, and financial systems, this role requires advanced accounting and analytical capabilities to drive commercial outcomes.Key responsibilities include ensuring contract compliance and performance, monitoring obligations and deliverables, and providing data-driven insights into operational efficiency. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to track key metrics such as delays, volumes, and location-specific performance, contributing to continuous improvement and strategic decision-making.A day in the life of a Commercial Analyst Monitor and analyse financial performance across DTL, including revenue, margins, costs, and profitability, while maintaining financial models and identifying cost-saving opportunities.Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to evaluate pricing strategies, support contract variations and renewals, and monitor market trends and competitor pricing.Prepare and deliver regular financial and commercial performance reports, offering insights into trends, risks, and opportunities, and support internal and client presentations.Maintain contractual requirements in line with the contract master schedule to ensure compliance and alignment with reporting frameworks.Assist the commercial team with contract variations and renewals, ensuring pricing structures and financial terms meet DTL contract standards.Provide strategic financial and commercial support to improve operational efficiency and ensure alignment with Defence procurement guidelines.To succeed in this role, you will need:Qualifications:Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related fieldFamiliarity with Defence contracting frameworks, including ASDEFCON and Commonwealth procurement policies (desirable)Skills and experience:5+ years'' experience in a commercial contract role, ideally within Defence, logistics, or large-scale government contracts, and must be an Australian Citizen eligible for a Defence Security Clearance.Contract lifecycle management, including interpreting contractual terms and conditionsLead all contract variations, renewals, extensions and negotiationsEnsure all subcontractor agreements reflect prime contract requirements and appropriate terms flow-downIdentify and manage contractual and commercial risks, implementing mitigation strategies and escalation processes as neededCreate internal contractual awareness and build knowledge base around contract managementWhat moves you?At Toll, you can help play a vital role in delivering what matters.
