Even if you only meet some of the criteria, we''d love to hear from you.About the opportunityWellways has programs providing services to the Northwest Tasmania catchment consisting of Wellways to Recovery for people living with mental health challenges, Consumer Directed Services, Child Youth and Family Engagement (CYFE) and a range of Family and Peer Facilitated Education Programs. The program provides support to all people with a mental illness with an aim topromote and maintain independent living and skills.As Program Worker, you''ll provide direct, practical support to participants that help them regain, keep, and improve skills, including self-management skills, while also supporting participants to identify and nurture natural supports that sustain recovery. You will be responsible for:Ensuring people can fully participate in the community and claim their rights as citizensWorking with families, carers and friends to build the skills and resources they need as keysupports, and to flourish in their own rightAdvocating for, and creating communities that actively welcome and value people with mental illness and uphold their rights as equal citizensYou will also need:Completed a certificate II or III in Community Services or Youth WorkMust be 18 years of age or overCurrent valid Driver''s License and the ability to undertake travel for the roleCurrent Working with Vulnerable People check with NDIS EndorsementRight to Work within AustraliaSatisfactory National Police Records CheckAbout UsWellways connects people, strengthens families, and transforms communities for individuals of all ages experiencing disabilities or challenges to their social and emotional wellbeing.
