About the RoleYou''ll lead the implementation and continuous improvement of our Environmental Management System, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and ISO14001 standards. From conducting audits and investigations to developing management plans and monitoring performance, your expertise will help shape how we manage environmental risk and deliver sustainable outcomes across our programs and operations.This role also provides the opportunity to influence strategic sustainability initiatives, support business growth, and embed sustainability principles across all business units. You''ll act as a trusted advisor to project teams, senior leaders, and stakeholders, ensuring Babcock continues to meet legal, contractual, and emerging regulatory requirements. About YouYou''re an experienced environmental or sustainability professional who thrives in complex operational environments and enjoys partnering with diverse stakeholders to deliver meaningful outcomes.You bring strong technical capability, a deep understanding of environmental legislation and standards, and the confidence to provide specialist advice that shapes decisions and improves performance.You''ll bring:Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, Natural Resource Management or similar34+ years'' experience in an environmental advisory roleStrong knowledge of environmental legislation, approvals, reporting and monitoringExperience with environmental auditing, incident investigation and risk assessmentUnderstanding of nonfinancial data reporting requirements (AASB, NGERs, IFRS)Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence outcomes and build strong relationshipsDemonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and solve complex problemsDesirable:ISO14001 Auditor or implementation experienceICAM or Topset investigation trainingExperience in industrial or defencerelated environmentsExperience mentoring or supporting junior professionals Your Role Your Future at BabcockWe provide an agile work environment where you can work onsite and remotely.
