Position SummaryThe purpose of the Senior Paraplanner role is to support the Focus Partners Australia Wealth advice team. You will help the advisers develop, implement, and maintain tailored financial strategies for clients. This role combines technical analysis, strategic research, client communication, and administrative coordination, ensuring exceptional client experience and high-quality financial outcomes. You will be responsible to produce Statements of Advice (SoAs), Records of Advice (RoAs), strategy modelling, product research (risk and wealth product comparisons) and advice template maintenance.This role can be located in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; Melbourne, Victoria, Australia; Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.Primary ResponsibilitiesGather all information necessary prepare advice documents such as Statements of Advice, Records of Advice and Review Reports, for the financial advisers. You ensure all the documentation and filing procedures meet the organisational compliance standards.Ensure client data is loaded into Xplan and in line with company policies.Prepare and analyse information and develop recommendations for adviser to consider.Assisting in research related to Wealth Platforms, Underlying Investments products, Personal Insurance policies, and other financial products.This involves gathering information, using technology to analyse product features and benefits and preparing reports for financial planners to review.Provide the advisers with scenario modelling and alternatives for advisers to consider.Proactively participate in continuous improvement activitiesLiaise with Enzumo, Iress and other tech providers to ensure our advice production tools are up to date and operational.Review and ensure all updates required to advice templates such as Fact Finds, SoA and RoA Strategy and Product inserts are completedSupport peer review processes for advice documents within agreed timeframesCollaborate and support others learning with Xplan or technical training. This may also include CSO and adviser training.Ensure any assigned advice documents from other partner firms to review and provide feedback are completed within assigned SLA.Attend relevant courses and actively take part in training or other activities to stay current with financial planning administration, client service and implementation practices.QualificationsAt least 5 years'' experience in financial services, ideally supporting a Financial AdviserDegree in Finance, Economics or Business optionalRG 146 compliantDiploma or Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning preferredDeep experience in research and report writingStrong understanding of investment products, taxation, retirement & estate planning and risk management and insuranceExceptional numerical and analytical thinkingHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage multiple prioritiesStrong written and verbal communication and ability to communicate technical concepts clearlyLiaison with financial advisers, compliance teams, and product providersWork collaboratively with advisers, admin staff, and other paraplannersAdapt to changing processes, systems, and legislative updates#LI-SF1 AboutFocus Partners AustraliaFocus Partners Australia, the Australian business unit of Focus Partners, offers integrated capabilities in wealth advice, accounting, lending, insurance and related services from its offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast.
