Machine Operator / Flashings Operator- Casual & Permanent Available, Full Time (38 hours per week + overtime opportunities)- DAY SHIFT - 6am to 2.15pm and AFTERNOON SHIFT - 2.00pm to 10.15pm availableNorthgate, BrisbaneQueensland Sheet Metal is a sheet metal manufacturing company that produces roofing and rainwater goods. The company is looking for full time machine & flashings operators to work in the Rollforming Department or work in the Flashing Department using Folders & Rollforming machines in the warehouse.REQUIRED SKILLS:-- Excellent work ethic with attention to detail- Reliable and with good communication- Forklift licence- Experience with (including gutter machines, slitting lines, sheet metal machines) or Flashing machines (folders) an advantage.The Operator will work Monday to Friday, on either Day or Afternoon Shift. The role involves working both as a solo operator or in a small team at various times.A multifaceted position the role includes:-- Receipting orders (paperwork)- Programming the machines computer to produce necessary products- Time managing jobs to produce efficiencies in producing products- Checking work/recognising colours and lengths- Shifting coils via forklift to machine or by overhead craneThe successful candidate will be competent with most facets of working in a warehouse within a team and must have a forklift licence. You must be reliable and able to work solo at times.
