Your opportunity Asa Financial Accountant, Commercial and Mixed Use Development, your role is to provide financial accounting support to the Office and Mixed Use, BTR and Industrial development businesses (that make up the Commercial & Mixed Use segment), which includes coordination and execution of month-end and half-year-end activities, acting as a key liaison with the Offshore finance support team and resolving ad hoc queries. You will manage JV and capital partnering requirements, ensuring timely response to queries and accurate reporting in line with the agreements. You will bring strong technical accounting expertise, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams to arrive at a timely resolution of issues impacting the CMU business.Key AccountabilitiesFinancial Accounting for the Commercial and Mixed Use segment to ensure accuracy, timeliness and completeness of numbers for Group and divisional reporting, as well as for capital partnering, in accordance with relevant accounting standards.Manage JV Reporting and general requirements such as equity calls, BAS and ad-hoc queries. Assist in preparing monthly financial reports for capital partners, ensuring accuracy and alignment with contractual obligations.Manage the segment''s tax compliance activities across GST and Income Tax submissions and escalate matters as appropriate.Core financial accounting and technical compliance and controls focus, with a view to continual improvement. Key contributor to process improvement initiatives to achieve optimisation across key work processes and internal customer service delivery.Provide support and guidance to the offshore finance team, including managing day to day deliverables and ensuring timely month end close.Work across CMU financial control and management analyst team to compile month-end reporting and variance analysis. Review and manage all non-cash balance sheet reconciliations and actively query and resolve open items. Manage the preparation of deliverables for statutory audit and ensure timely delivery of audit requirements. Your point of differenceYou are a finance professional with at least 4 years of experience, and prior experience in a commercial role within a large organisation is a must (Property sector preferred). You are a CPA or CA qualified with exposure to automation tools such as Power BI or Alteryx.
