Working closely with four Directors and alongside Studio administration, you will ensure the commercial success of the practice through the strategy, planning, execution and management of the following responsibilities:Prepare and track annual budgets and monthly finance reportsChair monthly finance meetings and provide strategic insightsManage cash flow, revenue forecasting, and project invoicing in consultation with project leadersOversee payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and debtor managementCoordinate EOFY activities and ensure compliance with statutory obligationsProvide accurate WIP reporting and project P&L analysisReview and approve client and subconsultant contractsLiaise with external accountants, insurers, and legal advisorsIdentify financial and commercial risks and advise on mitigation strategiesDrive operational excellence and support strategic business initiativesManage and enhance financial systems (Deltek)Contribute to technology transitions and future-proofing of business processesSupport new business activities and entrepreneurial venturesManage external Accountants and ContractorsThe Successful CandidateCA/CPA qualified or Business degreeMinimum 3 years'' experience in a Finance Manager or Senior Project Accountant roleStrong analytical skills and a proactive approachCalm, methodical, and meticulous but with a sense of humourExperience in architecture, construction, or engineering is a bonusFamiliarity with Xero and Deltek desirableAnalytical and proactive approach to problem solvingExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate to a broad range of stakeholdersWhat you''ll get in returnFlexible working arrangements (full-time or 4 days per week)Be part of a highly collaborative, creative studio environmentContribute to the future success of an iconic design practiceIf you''re ready to make an impact and help shape the strategic direction of JPE Design Studio, we''d love to hear from you.Your Accounting & Finance expert, Kate Wevell, is recruiting this exciting vacancy.
