Working across disciplines including Nursing, Midwifery, Allied Health, Paramedicine, Osteopathy, Social Work, Speech Therapy and more, the team manages all aspects of clinical placement operations.About the RoleThe Clinical Placement Officer plays a key coordination role within the Clinical Learning Office, supporting the end to end management of student clinical placements. This includes overseeing pre placement requirements, managing placement allocations, supporting contract and invoice processes, and providing high-level service to students, staff, and external partners.This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a vibrant environment, working across multiple disciplines, and contributing to the student experience. With opportunities to develop expertise in specialist systems such as InPlace, SONIA, and PlaceRight, the role provides excellent exposure to university operations, clinical education, and industry engagement.Position Key DutiesOversee pre placement requirements, assess student readiness, and manage allocations in InPlace and other placement systems.Prepare and process clinical contract proformas, monitor agreement expiry dates and coordinate renewals.Monitor, reconcile, and track invoices from clinical partners, escalating complex matters as required.Provide effective administrative and operational support to ensure smooth delivery of clinical placements.Deliver professional, timely customer service to students, clinical educators, and partner organisations.Liaise with internal stakeholders across the College and other VU units to support placement processes.Maintain accurate data and records across InPlace, PlaceRight, SONIA and other systems.Salary: HEP 5 $79,135 - $90,899 per annum + 17% superannuationEmployment Type: ContinuingHours: 36.75 Full-timeLocation: Footscray Park Campus 3 days per week 2 days WFHFor a detailed overview of the role''s duties and responsibilities, please click here: Clinical Placement Officer Position Description .About YouYou have experience in administration, placement coordination, or operations in a complex organisationpreferably within health, education, or community services.You bring strong organisational, analytical, and problem solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple student cohorts.You thrive in a role where accuracy, communication, and stakeholder service are central.You''re confident using digital systems, with the ability to learn specialist databases such as InPlace, SONIA or similar platforms.You enjoy working both independently and as part of a collaborative team.You bring professionalism, initiative and a commitment to continuous improvement.This role will appeal to someone seeking progression in university operations, clinical education administration, or industry partnership coordination.The University is a Child Safe organisation.
