If you share a people first approach, have a special talent for managing people issues, workplace disputes, performance and injury management then we want to hear from you. Reporting to the People & Culture Manager, your key responsibilities will include:Partnering with the business to assist with successful resolution of people and performance matters.Providing guidance and advice to Leaders on how to deal with underperformance and workplace behaviour in line with legislation and company policy.Conduct investigations and facilitate meetings in consultation with Leaders relating to workplace conflicts, performance and behaviour issues.Manage and administer the formal Performance Management system framework for performance reviews.Proactively manage workers compensation claims and non work related injuries for successful return to work.Assist with development and delivery of the People Strategy and implementation of key initiatives.Providing generalist advice and operational support to team members and Leaders.ABOUT YOUTo be successful in this role you will have:Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline or equivalent relevant experience minimum 3 years.Previous experience in managing performance and behaviour related issues with Leaders.Sound knowledge of Fairwork Employment Legislation, Industrial Relations and Worksafe Queensland.Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to navigate complex situations and difficult conversations thoughtfully and professionally.A logical thinker, with strong attention to detail and a methodical and structured approach to work.A team player that demonstrates the ability to collaborate, share knowledge and ideas.Experience working with HRIS systems and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.Full Australian working rights are required for this position in addition to a probity check.The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre is part of The Star Entertainment Group.To apply, please upload your cover letter and resume.
