With us, you will work with fun colleagues who have a shared passion for making a difference in the lives of individuals and transforming communities for the better.About the CentreGippsland Regional Aquatic Centre is a state-of-the-art recreation centre located in the heart of Traralgon, Victoria and is owned by Latrobe City Council, and managed by YMCA Victoria. We run a variety of fitness and swim programs and memberships to suit adults and children.The centre houses a Gym, three Group Fitness Rooms, Indoor 50m Pool, Outdoor 25m Pool, Indoor Warm Water Pool, Indoor designated Learn to Swim Pool, Spa/Sauna/Steam Room, two large Water Slides, Aqua Playground and on site Caf.About the RoleJoining our team means becoming part of a vibrant and inclusive community. We value teamwork, excellence, and continuous improvement and are passionate about water safety and ensuring all children in Latrobe know how to swim.You will play a key role within the leadership team, driving the performance outcomes for the learn to swim team while providing a high quality and robust programming schedule, focusing of driving participation and member retention. In this role you will oversee our Swimming Lesson and Schools Programs. You will be a considered decision maker and will be able to manage a multitude of tasks utilising good time management and organisational skills.This a part-time role (approx. 30hrs per week) with an hourly rate of $32.81-$ Super & Y benefits, dependent on experience.About YouYou will have strong leadership skills to effectively manage a team of staff in a busy aquatic environment. Aquatic Supervision will be a large focus of the role to ensure high levels of consistent supervision.You will be available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends.Essential QualificationsAccredited Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety (AUSTSWIM or equivalent)HLTAID011 Provide First AidHLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary ResuscitationOther Desired QualificationsTeacher of Infants and Preschool AquaticsAquatic Pool Lifeguard CertificateYMCA Victoria (the Y) has robust policies and practices to prevent harm to children and young people.
