Permanent / Full TimeMonday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight$93,453 $105,760 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 4 to Level 5 depending on skills and experience) + SuperannuationLocation RockhamptonYour new roleAs an Environmental Health Officer, you will play a vital part in protecting and promoting community health and wellbeing.You will be responsible for conducting inspections and investigations, providing expert advice on environmental and public health matters, and ensuring compliance with legislation and Council Local Laws. You will also lead community education initiatives to raise awareness of environmental health issues, manage complaints and applications for regulated premises, and contribute to policy development and projects within the Health and Environment Unit.This position offers variety and autonomy, requiring someone who can demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
