Account DirectorIconic 598-room Hilton Sydney is located steps from Town Hall station and the QVB Light Rail stop and amongst our operations we are home to one of the largest Conferencing and Event spaces in the city, boast a signature restaurant glass brasserie and heritage listed Marble Bar. As an Account Director at Hilton Sydney you will be responsible for managing a core set of industries and PCOs driving the acquisition and retention of accounts to achieve revenue goals and budgets.What will it be like to join the Hilton Sydney team?Joining an award winning culture and globally recognized Great Place to Work means:Competitive pay and quarterly sales incentivesMonthly dry cleaning allowance for your business wardrobe110 discounted travel nights for you, your friends or family per year at any of our 9000+ hotels located in 141 countries and territories around the worldOpportunities for career progression including varied experienceFree access to 3000+ learning and development courses to start your career and enhance your skillsWhat will I be doing?As Account Director your responsibilities will include;Managing a core set of Industries and PCO''s as designated by your Director of Sales.Responsible for the acquisition and retention of accounts along with identifying new accounts, to achieve pre- determined goals and budgets.Proactively identify and capture all opportunities in Groups and MICE segment focusing on past confirmed bookings (Bring Back Old Business - BBOB) and acquire new opportunities to achieve pre-determined goals and budget in Groups, Conference & Events (GC&E) set by the hotel.Proactively identify ancillary revenue opportunities in all market segments for revenue optimization.Meet targets as identified in the Business Plans to achieve revenue across the assigned market segments for Hilton Sydney and in line with your incentive plan. Plan and execute strategy on your selected accounts to increase current production. To be aware of the competition, including average room rates and market share information within your agreed market segments. Be proactively involved in lead generation process by identifying and qualifying opportunities and ensure competitive offerings are offered and opportunities are responded in a timely manner.Qualifications and ExperienceMinimum two years'' experience in a similar rolePreferable tertiary qualificationsAble to take management direction and work well with a team to achieve goalsPrevious experience in sales, preferably in a hotel environmentSelf motivated and able to work effectively without supervisionStrong administration and communication skillsAbility to be customer focused and find solutions to exceed client requirementsBuild productive relationships with colleagues both internally and externallyDemonstrates positive involvement and interaction with the overall Hilton team both at an individual, team & management levelExcellent verbal and written communication skills
