Nic and Kolo is an Award Winning cafe in the Applecross Village, exclusively showcasing fresh WA produce through an approachable, contemporary and Asian fusion menu in a modern and relaxed atmosphere. We are open 7 days/week from 7 am to 3 pm for Brunch. Nic and Kolo is fully licensed.We are opening a new venture and we are seeking for a skilled and experienced Pastry Cook to join our kitchen team. If you have at least two years experience as a qualified Pastry Chef in a quality establishment, contact us.The successful applicant for this position will:Have relevant qualification in pastry, baking, or commercial cookery, or equivalent industry experienceStrong knowledge of pastry techniques and baking processesAbility to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environmentHave knowledge in sourdough craftHave experience to train staffBe a team player, hold a positive view on teamwork and strive to motivate team and co-workersBe able to work in all areas of the kitchen and take an active role in helping develop our new pastry menus which may change seasonallyHave excellent communication skills and be well organisedMust be willing and available to work weekends and early shifts (including public holidays)Ensure all food preparation meets standardsContribute to controlling costs, improving gross profit margins, and other departmental and financial targetsReport and manage hygiene and hazard issuesA strong focus on maintaining professional standards in food preparation and hygiene is a must.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.Job Types: Full-time, PermanentPay: $77,000.00 $85,000.00 per yearBenefits:Employee discountExperience:Pastry Chef: 2 years (Required)Work Location: In person
