Duties and tasks Mechanical Conveyor Technician: Belt scrapers, skirting systems and roller changeouts. Conduct maintenance, repairs and servicing of conveyor belt scrapers, ploughs, skirts, trackers and rollers.Cleaning and adjusting primary and secondary cleaners, ploughs, and water control unitsInspect conveyor belts to identify any faults or wearAdjust the scraper height to prevent damage to the beltLook over the axis and recommend action where requiredIdentify the different kinds of scrapers ploughs and skirtsTroubleshooting, Installing and commissioning new equipmentPerformance quality checks of machinery to ensure they meet the quality standardsHave a sound understanding and knowledge of how a skirt system is assembled/disassembled.Can set skirts to a high quality and at a sound rate.Other duties included but not limited to, roller frames, skirting systems, belt tracking units, and conveyor structures.Completing conveyor safety and operational inspectionsAdhere and possess strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
