The Great Southern Hotel Melbourne (GSH-Melbourne) is a busy hotel located in the heart of Melbourne''s CBD, offering 278 rooms. The hotel is in the perfect location for both the tourist and business client alike, located within extremely close proximity to all the wonderful Melbourne attractions including the Crown Casino, Southern Cross station, New Quay, Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, Marvel Stadium and much more. We are currently seeking an experienced and well- presented individual to join our fast-paced housekeeping team in the full-time position of Housekeeping Manager.As our Housekeeping Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the housekeeping operations in Melbourne. This includes scheduling, supervising staff, maintaining inventory, ensuring compliance with Labor laws, and upholding cleanliness and guest satisfaction standards.About the role:As our Housekeeping Manager, your responsibilities will include:Supervising scheduling, approving timesheets, and staff rostering.Performance Monitoring & supervising the KPI''s are met.Effectively communicating with all departments of the hotel to ensure customer satisfaction and operational requirements are achieved .Inventory & procurement: Liaising with companies to ensure availability of supplies.Ensure facility Maintenance & Compliance.About you:The successful candidate must have:Previous experience in a similar roleExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsA commitment to outstanding customer serviceDealing with guest complaintsThe availability to work on a 7-day rotating rosterExcellent grooming and presentation skillsA warm and friendly personalityEnsuring staff are adhering to policies and procedures as per the requirements of the Hotel Employment GuideExcellent time management skillsThe ability to work under pressure with excellent attention to detailApplicants must have the legal right to work in AustraliaBenefits:This role offers a great opportunity to expand upon your skill set.
