We currently have apermanent Full-time opportunity for a Security Officer/Loading Dock & Waste Coordinator. Join our Health and Education team at Melbourne Connect, based in Carlton, VIC. Reporting to Security Services Manager, you''ll help deliver high-quality outcomes that support our essential services.This is a multi-faceted role, where you will provide Security Services across the Precinct and Loading Dock area, you''ll also track and monitor Waste activity. This role entails working unsupervised, or as part of a team, to deliver a high-quality service. This position requires the worker to be part of an on-call roster and may be required to coordinate works outside of hours or on weekends.What You''ll Do (key responsibilities)This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:Provide security service across the Precinct and assist in developing measures to minimize the Precinct exposure to security riskMonitor the CCTV of the Precinct during shiftReview and capture CCTV footage for any incident or eventManage the safety in the loading dockManage Loading dock booking system (Eg. Veyor)Monitor the access control system during shiftCapture data and run reports from the access control systemAction event requirements with the access control systemWaste Management - Track waste daily and follow up any waste issuesWhat You''ll Bring (experience required)The ideal candidate will have proven experience in security preferably in a health facility, correctional facility, police force or defense unitExperience in the role of Security Officer/Crowd Controller at varying sitesExperience with CCTV and control room monitoringCurrent Victorian Security LicenseVictorian Driver''s LicenseCurrent First Aid and CPR qualification (or copy of the application)More than anything, you''ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes for our clients.**Please note, as a prerequisite for this role candidates will be required to complete work rights check, pre-employment medical check, Working with Children Check, AFP National Police History certificate and reference checks.Why Downer?At Downer, we plan, create, and sustain essential public services across Australia and New Zealand.
